  • Arthur Masuaku spent five seasons with RC Lens as a schoolboy between the ages of nine and 14, before joining local rivals Valenciennes.
  • A teenage Masuaku made his international debut for France alongside Paul Pogba in a 2-1 U18 friendly victory over Germany in Prien am Chiemsee in March 2011.
  • Masuaku made his senior debut for Valenciennes as a 90th-minute substitute in a 3-3 Coupe de France Round of 64 draw at Istres on 7 January 2013. Valenciennes lost 4-3 on penalties.
  • A Ligue 1 debut arrived on 10 August 2013, aged 19, when he started the 3-0 home win over Toulouse.
  • A maiden senior goal arrived on 29 January 2014, when he netted in a 2-1 Ligue 1 defeat at a Marseille team featuring a certain Dimitri Payet.
  • Greek giants Olympiacos spent a reported fee of just £425,000 to take Masuaku to the port city of Piraeus in July 2014.
  • On just his third Greek Superleague appearance for the Red-Whites, Masuaku assisted all three goals in a 3-1 victory at home to OFI Crete on 13 September 2014.
  • It did not take Masuaku long to make his mark in the UEFA Champions League either – he scored 13 minutes into his debut in the tournament in Olympiacos’ 3-2 group-stage victory over Atletico Madrid in September 2014.
  • Masuaku totalled 16 appearances in Europe for Olympiacos – eleven in the UEFA Champions League, four in the UEFA Europa League and a UEFA Champions League qualifier against Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel earlier this month.
  • Of the 50 Greek Superleague matches Masuaku appeared in for Olympiacos, the left-back won 38, drew seven and tasted defeat on just five occasions.
